These tutorials were written a number of years ago.  Since they were written Zdoom and other ports have advanced significantly.  There are now additional options for dehacked in some ports and some ports have their own, more flexible ways of doing things that totally replace dehacked (eg Zdoom's DECORATE feature).  For details of these, you should refer to the documentation provided with the port.

Further, there is anow a windows based version of DEHACKED called WhackEd which some people prefer to use.

However, the documentation in these pages is still decent enough information and should be enough to get most people going with dehacked and will demonstrate a number of still useful techniques.
